I've been hunting for a proper tonkotsu in Dubai for years, and this tiny spot in JLT is the closest I've found. The broth is thick, properly porky-free but rich (they use chicken and beef bones), and has that slight stickiness on the lips that tells you it's been simmering all day.

The noodles are made in-house and hold their bite. Chashu is beef, which usually worries me, but here it's fatty and falls apart. Egg was jammy, not chalky. Small things, done right.

What to order

  • Signature tonkotsu-style ramen – the one to get
  • Spicy miso if you want heat
  • Karaage on the side (skip the gyoza)

The room

Twelve seats, mostly counter. Go before 7pm or after 9:30pm or you'll queue. Cash or card, no bookings.

Worth the trip from anywhere in Dubai.
